Article 1 – Definitions

1. Platform: The online participation platform “Jamiihub,” located at nca.voca.city.

2. Organization: Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), a non-profit organization based in Norway, responsible for managing and operating the Platform.

3. User: Any individual accessing the Platform, either as a Visitor (unregistered) or a Contributor (registered).

4. Contributor: A User who creates an account (“Account”) in order to post proposals, comments, or other material on the Platform.

5. Content: Any text, proposal, comment, or other material posted by a Contributor.

6. Account: A personal area on the Platform allowing Contributors to access special features and publish Content.

Article 2 – Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Use describe the rules and modalities for accessing and using the Jamiihub Platform. By using the Platform, you acknowledge having read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Use in their entirety. The Organization may modify these provisions at any time without prior notice.

Article 3 – Scope

These Terms and Conditions of Use apply to all services offered on the Platform. Additional guidelines or policies may apply to certain features or events. In case of conflict, those specific rules or guidelines prevail.

Article 4 – Moderation of Content

1. Responsibility: Contributors must ensure their Content is lawful, respectful of others’ rights and freedoms, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

2. Removal of Content: The Organization reserves the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms and Conditions of Use or applicable laws.

3. Reporting: Users may report inappropriate or unlawful Content through the Platform’s reporting feature or by contacting the Organization via the email provided below.

Article 5 – Limitation of Liability

1. Accuracy of Information: The Organization strives for accuracy but does not guarantee that all information is error-free. Please report any suspected issues to the contact email provided.

2. Own Risk: Any material downloaded or obtained through the Platform is done at the User’s own risk. The Organization is not liable for any damage to hardware, software, or data loss resulting from downloads.

3. External Links: The Platform may contain external links. The Organization is not responsible for external sites’ availability, content, or potential harm arising from their use.

Article 6 – Personal Data and Privacy

1. Data Collection: The Platform collects personal information when you create an Account or publish Content. The Organization processes this data solely for Platform administration, moderation, and anonymized analytics.

2. Data Sharing: No personal data is shared with third parties, except where strictly necessary for service providers or partners assisting with the Platform. Those parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.

3. User Rights: In accordance with Norwegian and EU data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data.

   • You can exercise many of these rights through your Account settings.

   • You may also submit a request via the email address listed below.

4. Newsletter: If you choose to subscribe to any newsletter, you will receive updates until you unsubscribe. Instructions for unsubscribing will be included in each newsletter.

Article 7 – Cookies

1. Cookie Usage: The Platform uses cookies necessary for core functionality, traffic measurement, and performance improvements.

2. Opt-Out: You can disable cookies in your browser, though some Platform features may be restricted.

3. Data Aggregation: All collected data is aggregated and anonymized to protect User privacy.

Article 8 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Norwegian courts, unless otherwise required by law.
